17 Ways To Market A Product

There are many different ways to market a product online but in this article, I’m going to focus on how to market a digital product. You may be surprised that you can actually market digital ebooks on the internet. Many people think that it is only digital products but the truth is you can market all kinds of products online.

  1. The first thing you should do is set up a Clickbank account. This is what I use to promote other people’s products.
  2. Now that you are registered with Clickbank you should click on the marketplace button. Now if you want to find digital ebooks you can promote them by searching through the marketplace for ebooks that you want to promote.
  1. As soon as you find a product you would like to promote now you should create a Clickbank account.

If you want to promote by setting up a blog through blogger you simply need to enter your affiliate URL for the product you are promoting into your sidebar or you may want to create a widget using WordPress. You can get a free blog at blogger.com or WordPress.com. Now anybody who clicks on that link will be redirected to the product sales page. Whenever a sale is made via your blog you should be able to collect some commission.

Some of the products will give you more than 50% commission in commission so if you are going to promote a product and the product owner offers a 50% commission split you will get 50% of all the money they make not just the commission they pay. Remember to check out the statistics page that was generated once you made your first sale. It should show you the number of sales you have made.

Here you will find all kinds of products from eBay to Massagether if you have ever purchased one of these products. The only thing you need to do is put a link to the product you are promoting on your blog or website using your affiliate link.
  5. If you have never created a website before then you can try Blogger or WordPress. It’s pretty easy to make a blog on blogger and it is free to register. If you are looking for a cost-effective way to make money online I would recommend blogs and websites because they are both 100% free to use.
  6. When you have your blog all set up you should be thinking about writing articles to monetize your blog. Articles work well in internet marketing to promote your website or blog. Therefore, when you begin to make money online you should begin creating and writing articles to promote your website or blog.
  7. After you have begun to make money online you should be spending this money on advertising. You can use MySpace, Facebook, Digg, and forums to advertise your services. Once you have made a few dollars I recommend you begin using Pay Per Click (PPC) so that you can drive traffic to your website or blog.
  8. When you have created a website or blog you should be subscribing to traffic either directly or through a website such as AdWords.
  9. Make sure that your blog subject targets the specific niche that you are promoting by choosing a subject that is relevant. For example, if you are promoting family moguls, you may blog about children’s birthday parties, family dog housed, family LLC, and other general family topics.
  10. You can also save yourself some money by not taking so much action. If you are involved in family and child products you want to be sure you are setting up separate blogs and websites for these sections. For family affiliate programs you might want to set up a blog for each area of the family. This way you can easily be one blog that covers the family.
  11. Don’t forget to update your blog at least once a week. If you have set up a blog with articles you can quickly go back and add the links to the old articles in the new blog.
  12. Don’t ever market a product that people have already bought from you. The last thing you want to do is waste your time and money on a product that is a bust.
  13. Take the time to build a mailing list. This is an excellent way to stay in contact with your prospects so you can remind them of your product.
  14. Be aware of buying traffic to your blog or website. There are many different ways to get free traffic including pay-per-click ads, Pirate Using Ads, search engine traffic, article marketing, banner advertising, forum marketing, video marketing, and much more.
  15. Set up your blog to be optimized for search engines. You can find several worksheets online that will help you to optimize your website for search engines.
